This is an exclusive website for you if you were among the many youngsters who in the Summer of 2011 successfully completed the Junior Writers’ Corner at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi.
Story&Things is here to serve many purposes. It’ll lead you through the process of becoming a published writer. Now that sounds like a tall claim and one might like to ask the big question: How?
Well, we simply aim to:
1. Spark your imagination
2. Give you story ideas
3. Get you started
4. Make corrections if required &
5. Publish you stories online
Fine and well. In case you were wondering as to what the ”Things” in the title of this blog mean then here goes the answer:
Since the junior writers were trained in the crafts of story writing and poetry, you are encouraged to write in the following genres:
1. Story
2. Poem
3. Essay
4. Photo Essay
And here’s some sound advice. Pick one of the many short stories and/or poems you wrote in the Junior Writers’ Corner workshop, type it out and email us at your earliest possible. We’ll post it online with your name and photograph!
